Authentication with AUTH=admin:authServ[:listOfUsers[:listOfHosts]]
Users to be an administrator need to be authenticated by the authServ. If ":listOfUsers" is specified, the user name must be in the list. If ":listOfHosts" is specified, only clients from a host listed in the listOfHosts can be authorized.
Example: authorize if authenticated as "dgadmin" in authServ
- AUTH=admin:-list{dgadmin:password} -- simple authentication
- AUTH=admin:-list{dgadmin:password}::.localnet -- from local network only
- AUTH=admin:-pam:dgadmin -- use PAM authentication
- AUTH=admin:-dgauth{dgadmin:password} -- use Digest Authentication
- AUTH=admin:*:dgadmin@localhost -- use FTP authentication
Authentication with AUTHORIZER=authServ:admin
Users authenticated by the authServ is permitted to be the administrator. The special protocol name "admin" means the administration of DeleGate.
Example:
- AUTHORIZER=-pam:admin -- use PAM authentication
- AUTHORIZER=-pam:admin::localhost -- allow only from localhost
- AUTHORIZER=-dgauth:admin -- use Digest Authentication
Authentication with the combination of AUTHORIZER and AUTH

Example: authorize "dgadmin" from "localhost" only
- AUTHORIZER=-pam:admin::localhost AUTH=admin::dgadmin

Automatic authentication will be done with Identd protocol if you have a Identd server running on your host.
Callback authentication using FTP server. If you know the password to login user@host then you are supposed to be user@host. Let the DeleGate inspect it sending an authorization information as follows:
If DeleGate succeed to login the host with given user name and password, then you are proved to be user@host.
